On May 6, 2023, the Blessing of the Inlet marks its 27th anniversary. Held annually at Belin Memorial United Methodist Church in Murrells Inlet, SC, on the first Saturday in May from 9 AM to 3 PM, it has grown to attract thousands of people and become one of the area’s favorite festivals. Admission and parking are free.
The observance is highlighted by an Inlet Blessing ceremony at 10 AM at the Seawall Cross. The Pastors Will Malambri, Isaac Dusenbury, and J.T. Brown will lead attendees in a time of thanksgiving for God’s blessings on the Inlet and the local community. The Blessing of the Inlet also includes artisans and craft vendors, a children’s play area, games, and local restaurants and food trucks.
Belin Memorial United Methodist Church, located at 4183 Highway 17 Business in Murrells Inlet, has hosted the Blessing of the Inlet since 1996, which generates funds for many local missions, charities, and non-profit organizations with a focus on the people and lives of Murrells Inlet and the South Strand.
All are invited to attend to celebrate the glory of God and all His blessings. Bring your family, friends, and neighbors for a day of fun-filled activities, great food, and fellowship in the beauty of Murrells Inlet.
